The exhibition catalogue includes an essay entitled "La senda del arte" ["The Road of Art"] in which the historian and art critic Francisco Calvo Serraller discusses the highlights of the collection, setting them in the context of the different historical periods and art movements to which they belong. Almudena Ros, the curator of the collection and of this exhibition, has also written an essay on the guiding principles that underpinned the origin of the collection and have shaped its development. The catalogue includes reproductions of all the works on display and an appendix with the technical descriptions of the works. Available in the museum shop and in a designated space at the end of the exhibition, the catalogue costs €39.
