In 1975 Juan San Nicolás began to research the life and work of Darío de Regoyos. Since then he has pursued his project to disseminate the artist’s work and to locate Regoyos in a preeminent position within the art of his day. Juan San Nicolás has curated one of the most important exhibitions on Regoyos for the Museo de Bellas Artes and is currently completing his catalogue raisonné of the artist’s oil paintings and a compilation of the lengthy correspondence that Regoyos maintained with various artists over the course of his lifetime.
